OK, we are going to try to be better this year on updating the blog site.....so here we go with pictures from the first day of the year.
On New Year's Day, we went sledding with our neighbors, the Smith's. They had a couple of quads that the kids could get a ride up the hill so they didn't have to walk up. The spot we went to was only about 10 minutes from the house, just up the small canyon above our neighborhood. There was hot chocolate and everything. It reminded me of when we use to go up Big Cottonwood Canyon with the snowmobiles. We had a blast. Here are a couple pictures of the day.....

I love the last picture of Kjersten!! and I especially love the fact that I'm looking at your pictures and not taking them...cold! But jealous of the fun. :)
totally fun! there is at least one positive thing to having a lot of snow!! I love sledding ;)
Great idea to ride back up the hill in the quad! Sounds like so much fun! We need fresh snow so we can go sledding too!! Glad you had a fun New Year's!
That looks like a ton of fun - I do not miss the snow at all! Like Jill - love the looking at the pictures instead of being in them. Now it's outside to lay in the sun! Maybe a tan for Valentines day?
The pictures are priceless and much unlike my sisters, I wouldn't mind playing in the snow, just not living in it! I am way jealous! Maybe next year it should be a Winnemucca year?
